The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a colorful mix of personalities, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces growing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of characters who will separate from the central cast to begin their separate journey, distinct from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at one table would be impossible.

Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for participants who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might look out of place, but the events of episode 3 show why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the party knows exactly where to go next after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise initiated the story’s plot—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.

The traitor then settled his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Cyd close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan knows Timmony and warns that it is a nasty place.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to kill the target and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the team enter areas they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, Teor vowed a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now go with him wherever.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the family.

This results in them little choice but to travel to Timmony in search of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

From the recent installment’s Cooldown, we discover that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Seekers and Planners parties.

Audiences can expect finding out which players will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, streaming live on next week.
